JAKARTA: The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed on Monday a five-year-old Indonesian boy, who died on June 16, was infected by bird flu, said Indonesian Health Ministry. It told Xinhua that the boy was from East Java province and had contact with fowls. ``The result from Hong Kong [affiliated laboratory] is positive.'' The death has brought the total fatalities due to the avian influenza to 41 out of 52 cases in the country. Experts fear that the pathogenic H5N1 mutation can change the property of the virus. It can make it more transmittable among humans that can kill millions of people. Xinhua
