Rupee turns weak
MUMBAI:
The rupee turned marginally weak after a firm start against the U.S. dollar on Monday and closed at Rs 46.06/07 a dollar due to fresh dollar demand.
In a restricted activity, the Indian unit started the day on a higher note at Rs. 45.9650/9750 against the previous close of 46.0450/0525, but later fell to a low of 46.0800, before ending at 46.06/07, lower than the previous weekend close.
Meanwhile, the RBI fixed the reference rate for the dollar at Rs. 45.98. PTI
