HYDERABAD: The entrance examination for the five-year integrated post-graduate programme being introduced from this academic year in four universities will be held between July 20 and 25. The courses will be offered in chemistry, applied chemistry, physics and economics streams. Stating this to mediapersons here on Monday, APSCHE Chairman K.C. Reddy said the integrated five-year PG course would be offered in four university centres - Kakatiya University (chemistry), Andhra University (applied chemistry), Sri Venkateswara University (physics) and Osmania University Women's College (economics). The notification for the entrance exam would be issued by July 6, Prof. Reddy said. The course would commence by August-end and university fee would be applicable for the integrated PG programme too. Candidates with plus two qualification would be eligible for the integrated post-graduate programme which would run as a university programme. From next year onwards selection for sciences stream would be on the basis of EAMCET ranking. The programme would be run on semester basis with English, Telugu as compulsory languages with focus on language and computer skills. First two years would focus on broad understanding of various subjects and the later years on the subject specialisation. The last semester would comprise an industrial project.
