Rain makes for a bumpy ride

The heavy rain that Kochi is experiencing has taken its toll on the city roads and National Highways. It is no longer news that city roads develop potholes after the monsoon but this time big craters have been formed on the National Highway at Palarivattom junction. The victims of the potholes at Palarivattom traffic signal are the vehicle users, mostly motorists. Small carriages fall into the potholes and by the time the driver succeeds in pulling the vehicle out of the potholes, the signal turns red. Time and energy is thus lost owing to poor roads.
