Minister for Forests Benoy Viswom chose a recent function here to launch EDUSAT Receive Only Terminal (ROT) for 42 Government schools in the district to advise teachers to update their knowledge. He observed that children of the present generation had the knack to change with the changing times. Commending the questioning nature of present-day students, the Minister, however, said that the teachers might not have even heard the word `computer' during their school days. On the other hand, nowadays, children grow up using the computer. The Minister said that students of today knew almost everything as their curriculum insisted on acquiring all possible knowledge on earth. This gave a pointer to the fact that the teachers should not only change technically but also change culturally and socially, the Minister said. Now, it is time for teachers to do some introspection.
