Electro Investment hikes stake in BPL to 43 p.c.

BANGALORE: Electro Investment Pvt. Ltd., part of the promoter group of BPL, has acquired 1.70 crore shares aggregating 38.03 per cent of the total paid up capital of consumer electronics firm BPL. The mode of acquisition is through preferential allotment and the total shareholding of Electro Investment after the acquisition is 1.93 crore shares aggregating 43.14 per cent of the total paid up capital of BPL, the company said in a filing with the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
