Congress leader killed by naxals

Raipur: A Congress leader was shot dead by naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Tuesday.

"Chhannuram Watti was shot dead on Monday in a jan adalat (public court) of the Maoists in Nilabaya area, about 450 km from the state capital," a police source in Dantewada told PTI.

Two days ago, a group of armed naxalites assaulted Mr. Watti, a former sarpanch, and some others and Mr. Watti was shot dead, police said. — PTI
