ADILABAD: Adilabad MP T. Madhusudan Reddy belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Tuesday evening announced his resignation as Lok Sabha member owning moral responsibility for the defeat of the TRS in the panchayat elections. As the results were being announced for the Mandal and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies in Adilabad district, it became clear that the TRS had performed dismally. Of the 12 ZPTC seats it contested, the party won only Mudhole. All the four contested ZPTCs in Khanapur and Boath Assembly constituencies were lost in addition to the three in Mudhole constituency, he said. Mr. Reddy's son T. Prakash Reddy had contested from Boath ZPTC which was lost to the Telugu Desam Party candidate.
