MALAPPURAM: Youth Congress (Indira) State president Ibrahimkutty Kallar has said that his organisation will spearhead a campaign to expose the double standard of Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, who has withdrawn from many issues he raised as the Leader of the Opposition. Addressing a meeting of the Youth Congress (Indira) district committee here on Tuesday, Mr. Kallar said that permitting ministers like P.J. Joseph and M.A. Baby, against whom there were allegations of corruption, to continue in the Cabinet was a proof of Mr. Achuthanandan's double standards. He said the Youth Congress (Indira) would organise a convention against communalism on August 9, Quit India Day, in Thiruvananthapuram. P.P. Hamza, Youth Congress (Indira) district president, presided over the function. Syed Mohammed Thangal, Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) district president, delivered the keynote address.
