DEHRA DUN: Three elderly women bathing on the ghats of the Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi were washed away in a flash flood caused by sudden release of large amounts of water from the reservoir of the Maneri-Bhali project on Monday.
The three had gone to bathe and offer prayers at the ghat when tragedy struck, local people said demanding the arrest of the officials responsible for the release
A case of causing death by negligence has been registered by the police against the officials.
