Tihar Superintendent summoned

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday asked the Tihar Jail Superintendent to personally appear before it and sought an explanation as to why medical facilities are not being provided to suspended Haryana cadre IPS R K Sharma who is facing trial in Shivani Bhatnagar murder case.

Taking cognizance of the oral complaint of Sharma that authorities at jail number one of Tihar, despite his illness, are denying basic medical facilities to him, Additional Sessions Judge Rajinder Kumar issued summon against the Superintendent for July five, the next date of hearing. - PTI
