Pothole-free roads identified

Rs. 300 reward announced for those detecting potholes

MYSORE: Mysore City Corporation (MCC) has identified a few major roads in the city as "pot-hole free" and announced a reward of Rs. 300 for those detecting potholes.

The major roads identified by the MCC are D. Devaraja Urs Road from K.R. Circle to JLB Road Junction; JLB Road from Jagjeevanram Circle to Nanjangud Road; Irwin Road from KSRTC bus stand to Jagjeevanram Circle; New Sayyaji Rao Road; Nelson Mandela Road; Albert Victor Road; Chamaraja Double Road; and M.G. Road.

The following roads too have been designated pot-hole free roads: Ramavilas Road; Sitavilas Road; New Kantharaja Urs Road; Iswhar Temple Road (from Hunsur Road to KRS Road; Subhash Nagar Main Road; Rajendra Nagar Main Road; Dawood Khan Road; Gayatripuram Double Road; Vinay Marga; Gayatripuram Church Road; Vidyaranyapuram; 4th Main; Narayan Shastry Road; Dhanavantri Road; and the main road opposite Vikram Hospital at Yadavgiri.

General perception

Although the challenge taken up by the Mysore Corporation has been welcomed, the general perception is that these roads are among the major arterial roads of Mysore and hence well-maintained.
