Of Superman and the `desi' version

SUPERMAN RETURNS but his "desi" version is also running in cinemas here. While both have technical special effects thanks to the latest in digital animation, one really thrills: Krrish seems to have a large dose of "masala" typical of Bollywood, some filmgoers say.

A look at the novelty stores shows that Krrish Masks are still to be bought in large numbers, while toddlers in Superman costumes are seen in plenty in the cinemas. But there is one noticeable difference between the two films: Superman cannot sing duets with the felicity of a Krrish. Or romance with equal flair.
