NEW DELHI: With Delhi University releasing its third cut-off list for admissions on Tuesday, students wanting to secure a seat in college only stand a slim chance. Students opting for Science are luckier as the cut-off for the courses here has dipped by 2 to 3 per cent. However, the prospects for those looking to study Commerce, Economics or even History are not very bright. Kamala Nehru and Indraprastha College have fulfilled their quotas in the second list and have not declared a third list. While most colleges have closed admissions for B.Com (Honours), the newly restructured B.Com course is available at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam (ARSD) at 83.5 per cent, a 0.5 per cent drop from the last list. There is still some space at Bagini Nivedita College at 63 per cent, Bharti College at 76-78 per cent and B.R. Ambedkar College at 81.5 per cent. Delhi College of Arts and Commerce also has seats available at 85-90 per cent and Dyal Singh at 81-86 per cent. At Kirori Mal College, B.Com seats are available at 89.75-93.75 per cent. The second most popular course this admission season, Economic (Honours) is available at College of Vocational Studies at 83-88 per cent and at Deshbandhu at 79 per cent. At Ramjas College, Economic (Honours) is available at 86-91 per cent. English (Honours) is still available at Daulat Ram College at 81-86.9 per cent, which is a drop of 2 per cent. Seats are also on offer at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce at 77-80 per cent and at Deshbandhu College at 71 per cent. Sri Venkateswara College also has seats left in English (Honours) at 81.75-89 per cent. Those looking to study B.A. Programme still have some choice left. While the course is still available at most colleges, the percentage has been slashed by 2 per cent at most places. At Gargi College, the B.A. programme is available at 75.5-77 per cent, at Hindu College at 84 per cent and at Hans Raj College at 75 per cent. Dyal Singh also has the course open and the cut-off required is 67-69 per cent. Shaheed Bhagat Singh has the course available at 65-70 per cent. History (Honours) can be pursued at Kalindi College at 54-59 per cent, 77-85 per cent at Kirori Mal and 77.25-83 per cent at Sri Venkateswara College. Having seen a drop in percentage for Science courses in the third list, Physics (Honours) is still available at Acharya Narendra Dev at 70 per cent, ARSD at 79 per cent, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at 73 per cent, Hindu College at 88.66 and Dyal Singh at 72 per cent. Sri Venkateswara has Physics (Honours) available at 85.33 per cent. Chemistry (Honours) is available at Dyal Singh and Deshbandhu at 68 per cent. Hindu College still has seats in the course and the cut-off required is 82 per cent. At Kirori Mal, Chemistry (Honours) is available at 79-81.32 per cent. B.Sc. Physical Science is available at Gargi College at 67 per cent, Hans Raj at 76 per cent and Hindu College at 77 per cent.
