Patna: Udit Narayan on Wednesday got 15 days' time from Bihar Women's Commission for reconciliation with Ranjana Jha who claims to be his first wife and was asked by it not to leave the country during the period. The Commission Chairperson Manju Prakash granted the Bollywood playback singer's prayer made through his counsel Mahashweta Chatterjee to which Ranjana had no objection.

His counsel and the complainant have told the Commission that the process of reconciliation was proceeding in the right direction," Prakash told reporters.
"I am asking the airport authorities and other concerned authorities through the media not to allow Udit Narayan to leave the country," Prakash said.
Udit Narayan had flown to Patna on June 30 for a reconciliation with Ranjana after the Commission had threatened to have an arrest warrant issued against him if `meaningful reconciliation' was not achieved.
As Ranjana had told the Commission following the meeting that talks were moving in the right direction, it had asked the singer to appear before it today. -- PTI
