Rupee ends weak

MUMBAI: The rupee turned weak on Wednesday against the dollar and closed lower at 46.08/09 due to fresh dollar demand along with weak dollar in London.

Activity remained restricted due to poor attendance due to the heavy rains lashing the city and suburbs for the fifth straight day, disrupting rail and road traffic, dealers said.

In a range bound business at the interbank foreign exchange market here, the rupee open weak at 46.05/06 a dollar against the previous close of 45.99/46 and after hitting a low of 46.1000, ended weak at 46.08/09 per dollar. — PTI
