CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over Telangana and at a few places over interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in centimeters: Bagamandala (Kodagu dt.) and Gudalur Bazaar (Nilgiris dt.) 14 each, Kammardi and Kalasa (both Chikmagalur dt.) 13 each, Siddapura (Uttara Kannada dt.) 11, Naduvattam (Nilgiris dt.) 10, Sringeri (Chikmagalur dt.) and Hosanagara (Shimoga dt.) 9 each, Sirsi (Uttara Kannada dt.) 8 and Jayapura (Chikamagalur dt.) and Yellapura (Uttara Kannada dt.) 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Friday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at a few places over interior Karnataka and Telangana. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.

Late report of rainfall: Mananvathy (Wynad dt) 11 and Mannarkad (Palakkad dt) and Kudulu (Kasargod dt) 7 each.
