Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), as per the Madras High Court order on a public interest litigation petition, will refund one third of the buying price of the ticket to the holder for the abandoned one-day international between India and South Africa on November 22, 2005. Not a ball was bowled in the third one-dayer at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium due to rain and wet ground conditions. At a meeting of its executive committee here on Tuesday, the TNCA decided to honour the court order delivered on June 30. Senior TNCA officials, when contacted, said the refunding process, stretching over three weeks, would begin in about a week's time and the details would be announced through newspaper advertisements. The genuine tickets have a distinctive hologram, which cannot be duplicated. Those who purchased discounted tickets will receive one third of the money paid for.
