Patient denied admission dies

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI : A 35-year-old heart patient from Uttar Pradesh, Sarvesh Kumar, died on Wednesday evening on the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) premises after he was refused admission to the casualty following the flash strike by the Resident Doctors' Association.

According to Ram Avtar, a relative, Sarvesh was brought to the hospital this afternoon. Angry at the attitude of the hospital staff, family members of the patient blocked traffic outside AIIMS in the evening. Police had to intervene to clear the way.
