Some roads to be renamed

Bangalore: The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) has decided to rename some roads and parks. The stretch between Mysore Bank Circle and K.R. Circle will be renamed as Nyaya Marga; 4th Main Road in Malleswaram as Divangatha Shri Himanshu Shastri Road, 9th Main Road in Hampanagara as Divangatha Shree Gurunanjaiah Road.

The areas between 18th Cross and 22nd Cross near the swimming pool in Ward 60, Jayanagar, 1st Block, and those between 14th Main Road and 15th Main Road will be called Eeju Kolada Badavane. The park next to Ward 53 in Srinagar will be renamed as Divangatha Shri B.A. Urs Kumar Udyanavana. Since the statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been installed near Ward 25, 1st Main Road, Ramachandrapura, the circle will be called Mahatma Gandhi Circle.

Any objection regarding these names should be brought to the notice of the BMP within 30 days.
