KOCHI: Twenty people were injured in an accident involving a container truck and a private bus at Palarivattom Bypass Junction on Wednesday morning. The condition of four persons is reported to be serious and they are admitted to the Ernakulam Medical Centre. All the injured were passengers of the bus. The seriously injured are identified as Saifudeen, 49; Rakhee Ravi, 17; Seena Subhash, 38, and Rajesh Pankajakshan, 30. Saifudeen who sustained head injuries and fractures has been put in the intensive care unit. The others are being monitored at trauma ICU and condition of all has been reported to be stable. The traffic signal system at the junction has been destroyed in the mishap. The container truck had rammed into the lights towards the south. The bus was going to Kakkanad from the city.
