Applications invited: Cochin University of Science and Technology has invited applications for vacant seats in M.Tech Engineering Statistics and part-time certificate and diploma courses offered by Department of Statistics and Department of Culture and Heritage respectively.

Candidates having B.Tech or equivalent degree or AMIE in any discipline with a first class from any recognised university are eligible to apply for the M.Tech Engineering Statistics course.

Preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE score.

The last dates for receiving applications for M.Tech programme and certificate and diploma courses are July 22 and August 19 respectively.

Candidates can collect application forms for M.Tech Engineering Statistics from the Department of Statistics, Cochin University of Science and Technology on remittance of a demand draft of Rs.700 (Rs.350 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, Cochin University of Science and Technology payable at SBT, Cochin University campus branch.

Applications for part-time certificate and diploma courses are available from the Head, Department of Culture and Heritage on payment of Rs.100 (Rs.50 for SC/ST).

Appointed: Cochin University of Science and Technology has appointed former Admiral B.R. Menon as consultant at the Department of Marine Engineering.

The appointment is for a period of one year.
