RTC wins awards in 3 categories

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) won awards instituted by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings in three categories.

They comprise awards for best fuel efficiency (separately for rural and city operations) and for best tyre performance.

Vice-Chairman and Managing Director M.V. Krishna Rao said by recording 5.29 km per litre, the corporation had been adjudged winner.

On the other hand, it had recorded 5.22 km per litre in Visakhapatnam City to bag the award. Tyre life of 1.78 lakh km per tyre had enabled the corporation to be adjudged the best. Mr. Krishna Rao complimented the corporation's employees for their efforts that resulted in recognition at the national level.

He will receive the awards at the annual conference of STUs in New Delhi on July 7.
