VIJAYAWADA: John Bosco (APBSA), S. Sankar, P. Sudhakar (LVR), M. Ravi Shankar, Prabhu Kishore (Vijayawada), I. V. Raju (Kakinada) and S. Praveen (Sec'bad) entered the quarterfinal of snooker in the AP State senior ranking billiards and snooker championship held at LVR Club, Guntur on Thursday. Lucky Vatnani and Kamalhasan will clash for a berth in quarterfinal on Friday morning. The results (Pre-quarterfinals): S. Sankar (LVR) bt Deepak Rupani (Kakinada) 3-0 (57-20, 72-8, 64-43); John Bosco (APBSA) bt Jude Alexander (Hyd) 3-1 (47-38, 55-51, 43-48, 80-17); M. Ravi Shankar (Vij) bt Ashish Kumar (Sec'bad) 3-2 (38-65, 43-63, 60-30, 44-41, 63-53); I. V. Raju (Kakinada) bt Arvind (Hyd) 3-2 (60-32, 78-9, 30-74, 33-68, 65-25); Prabhu Kishore (Vij) bt Paramesh (Vij) 3-0 (70-6, 55-34, 61-42); S. Praveen (Sec'bad) bt M. Sujith (LVR) 3-1 (59-21, 31-72, 66-15, 39-37; P. Sudhakar (LVR) bt Neemath (Vij) 3-0 (64-55, 65-33, 66-18).
