TIRUCHI: Nabeela Farheen of Chennai led with 6.5 points at the end of the eighth round of the 34th Tamil Nadu State women's chess championship, organised by VBS Chess Academy, here on Thursday.

The results (eighth round): Nabeela Farheen (6.5) drew with Mahima Rajmohan (5.5); M. Rajadharshini (5) lost to M.R. Sangeetha (6); P.K. Jayasree (5) drew with Iswarya Shobana (5.5); S. Sujatha (5.5) bt Lalitha Raghavendran (4.5); Jenintha Anto (5) drew with Priya Sandhya (4.5); A. Akshaya (4) lost to R. Preethi (5).
