No distance too long for a chat
Chennai students interacted with students of Scalford Primary School, Melton Mowbray, thousands of miles away, recently. The two teams even gave short performances representing their cultures.
Park Impex Inc. and Vconnect Conference Services, Chennai, organised a videoconference for students in the U.K. and students of St. Mary's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and St. Columbans Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai.
The students talked about various subjects, including traditional dress, food and music in their countries.
The students of Chennai gave a Bharathanatyam performance.
M. Naganathan, Vice-Chairman of the State Planning Commission, and R. Srinivasan, member of the State Planning Commission, interacted with the students and said that such programmes would give students exposure about life in different countries.
