``Dawood not in Karachi''

New Delhi: Claiming that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is not hiding in its territory, Pakistan has asked Interpol to strike out Karachi as his address.

Interpol authorities recently approached the Central Bureau of Investigation with Pakistan's Federal Investigating Agency's objection to Dawood Ibrahim's address being shown as Karachi in the Interpol-United Nations notice.

The Interpol headquarters in France sought a reply from the CBI and it was informed that his presence in Pakistan had been confirmed. This had been acknowledged by the U.S. State Department . — PTI
