CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala and coastal Karnataka and at a few places over south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Lakshadweep and north interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. Agumbe recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 cm. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are:- Siddapura (Udupi dt) 6, Linganamakki and Thirthahalli (both Shimoga dt) 5 each, Belthangadi (Dakshina Kannada dt), Bhatkal and Gerusoppa (both Uttara Kannada dt), Somwarpet (Kodagu dt), Sringeri, Mudigere and Koppa (all Chickmagalore dt) 4 each, CIAL Kochi, Shirali, Bantwal, Mani, Subramanya and Dharmasthala (all Dakshina Kannada dt), Kadara and Sirsi (both Uttara Kannada dt), Sagar and Hosanagara (both Shimoga dt) and Balehonnur (Chickmagalore dt) 3 each.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.
