Bangalore: Quizzical minds of the corporate world are getting cracking for yet another gruelling season of battle of the intellect. The third edition of Tata Crucible, The Business Quiz 2006, is on. The Bangalore zone finals will be held at St. John's auditorium in Koramanagala on July 16 from 3.30 p.m. and the city's sharpest minds are preparing for the contest ahead. July 2 witnessed quizmaster Giri "Pickbrain" Balasubramaniam take centre stage at Jamshedpur for the first leg and then travel to other cities such as Pune, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Chennai. One of the main attractions of this quiz is there is no entry fee and thus provides ample opportunity to the serious and recreational quizzers to participate. This, the organisers say, ensures greater diversity in participant profile as they come from across sectors including media and entertainment, banking and financial institutions, advertising agencies and public sector institutions. Those interested can register at www.tata.com and rules and regulations are posted on the website. Any number of two-member teams can participate from the same organisation. However, each team will be allowed to participate only once from any of the locations. Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, Tata Services, Romit Chatterji, said: "With each year we are getting closer to our audience and Tata Crucible has become an established brand in Indian quizzing today. Our association with quizmaster Giri has been fruitful as we have managed to consistently update the quiz each year with new and innovative formats and rounds''.
