IMPHAL: In the open confrontation between the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak - Muivah) and the NSCN (Khaplang), an innocent youth has been gunned down in Tamenglong district of Manipur.

An NSCN (K) spokesman said his group launched a direct offensive from this month to clear Tamenglong of the N.P. battalion of the NSCN (I-M), which refused to leave the district.
