VISAKHAPATNAM: Cargo Handlers scored a huge 187-run win over Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation in the VDCA institutions super league here on Friday. The scores: Cargo Handlers 261 in 42.4 overs (G.P.Raju 70, B.Srinivasu 40, Ramesh four for 97, Ramana four for 77) bt G.V.M.C. 74 in 10 overs.
Cricket trials
Trials to select the VDCA under-15 team will be held at 8 a.m. on July 9 at the GVMC Stadium here. Players selected, as probables, need only to attend the trials.
Trials for disabled cricketers
Andhra Cricket Association for the disabled is conducting trials at the GVMC Stadium here on July 9 to select the State team for the second Rajiv Gandhi memorial trophy tournament to be held in Hyderabad in October. Interested disabled cricketers should report in whites at 10 a.m. at the venue here on July 9. They have to produce medical certificate and two passport size photographs.
