Professional colleges Act a hoax: Murali

Staff Reporter

`The future of LDF Government is not bright'

  • Says the DIC(K) has no intention of launching an agitation against the LDF Government
  • Says there are chances that the Government will start groping and fall
  • Says the reason for its debacle in the Assembly polls was the decision to go in for an adjustment against the wishes of <132> the cadres

KOLLAM: K. Muraleedharan, president of the Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran), has said that the Kerala professional colleges Act is in reality a covert understanding reached between the Left Democratic Front Government and managements of the professional colleges.

He was inaugurating a district-level leadership camp of his party here on Friday.

Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan claims to be still studying the issues of the State. "By the time Mr. Achuthanandan completes the study, CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will succeed in scheming against him,'' Mr. Muraleedharan said.

As of now, the DIC(K) has no intentions of launching an agitation against the LDF Government. Given the performance graph of the Government, the party feels that the LDF Government has no bright future. There are chances that the Government will start groping and fall, he said.

The prime reason for the DIC(K)'s debacle in the Assembly elections was that the party went in for an adjustment which was against the wishes of the cadres. The failure in the elections has not put the party in a pitiful condition that warrants a merger with any other party. It will maintain its identity and go ahead, strengthening itself, Mr. Muraleedharan said.

Party district president K.Karunakaran Pillai also spoke.
