Thiruvananthapuram: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for the seats reserved in self-financing colleges for students who have excelled in the State Youth festival or Higher Secondary Youth Festival. As per the new law, one per cent of the total seats in the self-financing colleges have been reserved for students excelling in the cultural arena. According to the Commissioner, students who have secured A grade in the State Youth Festival or in the Higher Secondary Youth Festival would be considered for the seats. The eligibility would be based on the rank in the entrance examination. The candidates should apply with the roll number and attested copies of certificates to the Commissioner before 5 p.m. on July 14.
