ADILABAD: A severe shortage of seats in the B.Sc. (BZC) stream in Adilabad town has put prospects of a few hundred students in jeopardy. College managements who are facing tremendous pressure for accommodating students seeking admission to B.Sc. (BZC) allege that the Kakatiya University authorities are hardly of any help in this regard. This year, 1,300 students from 12 Government and private junior colleges in and around the town cleared their Intermediate with biology, physics and chemistry. Most of the students seek admission to the first year B.Sc. degree course in the four degree colleges which have a cumulative 500 first year B.Sc. (BZC) to offer. On a representation, Kakatiya University permitted the Government Degree College for taking 50 additional admissions.
