Youth killed in road accident

His motorcycle was hit by a speeding car
|
TAMBARAM:
A 27-year-old youth was killed when the motorcycle on which he was travelling was hit by a speeding car on GST road in Meenambakkam early Thursday.
Police identified the victim as Kattar Das of Morrison Street, Alandur.
He was working as a casual labourer in a private company at the Chennai airport.
The accident occurred when he was returning home along with a friend.
He sustained serious head injuries while the pillion rider suffered fractures.
Kattar was rushed to a private hospital nearby, while his friend was admitted to the Government General Hospital in Chennai.
Further investigations are on, police said.
