Munda confident

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Friday expressed confidence that Mittal Steel Chairman Lakshmi N. Mittal would go ahead with the much-delayed, 12 million-tonne greenfield project in the State.

"Mittal is a big player who can have more than one plant in India," Mr. Munda said.

His comments came in the wake of Mr. Mittal's announcement that unhappy with the slow progress of work in Jharkhand, he would invest about Rs. 40,000 crore in the neighbouring State and that he would start work "wherever things move faster."
