Youth `kills' father, grandfather for postponing marriage

    HYDERABAD: A youngster allegedly beat up his father and grandfather to death when they asked him to wait for marrying his beloved till his elder brother got married, here on Friday.

    The gruesome killing of 65-year-old M. Chandraiah and his father Yadaiah in the early hours of Friday - the day of `Toli Ekadasi' that ushers in festivals of the year - left the residents of Meerpet in L.B. Nagar aghast. The accused youth, M. Naradev, in his mid-20s, even tried to assault his maternal uncle Jnaneshwar when the latter intervened, but some local people, enraged over the murders, gave him a sound thrashing before handing him over to the police.
