SRINAGAR: Fifteen persons accused in the sex scandal, including two former Ministers in the Jammu and Kashmir Government, began an indefinite hunger strike inside the Central jail here alleging that they were not given a "fair" trial. Early on Saturday, the accused refused food, alleging that the treatment meted out to them in the court trial was "unfair." On Friday, the former Additional Advocate-General, Anil Sethi, and the suspended DSP, Mohammad Yusuf Mir, protested in the court against the "handcuffing" and "hooding." The Kashmir Bar Association, which filed a public interest litigation into the case, has moved a resolution which bars its members from fighting the cases of all those accused in the sex scandal. Only Congress MLA from Dooru Ghulam Ahmad Mir and Anil Sethi have counsel representing them. While Supreme Court lawyer H.R. Khan Suhel is counsel for Mr. Mir, Mr. Sethi is represented by his brother, Sunil Sethi.
