ERODE: Erode South Police on Saturday arrested Krishnaveni (25) of Chennimalai for attempt of self immolation in front of the Collectorate. Krishnaveni told the police that some villagers of Chennimalai were trying to kill her as she has supported two lovers to get married.

Further her brother was taken by the police for interrogation in a theft case. Demanding protection for her and to get her brother released she attempted to commit suicide.
