VISAKHAPATNAM: M. Praveen Kumar of Hyderabad erased Ch. Chandrasekhar's record by 2.5 kg on his way to winning the 56 kg category gold in the Andhra Pradesh seniors powerlifting championships at the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium here on Saturday. The results: 1. V. Malleswara Rao (Krishna, squat 157.5 kg, bench press 95 kg, dead lift 192.5 kg and total 445 kg), 2. M. Chinna Hussain (Krishna), 3. G. Kiran Kumar (Prakasam). 56 kg: 1. M. Praveen Kumar (Hyd., 210,105,222.5 and 537.5 kg), 2. S. Ravikumar (VSP), 3. V. Srikanth Yadav (Hyd). (NMR, old 535 kg by Ch. Chandrasekhar of Hyderabad). 60 kg: 1. N. Vara Prasad (VSP, 205,117.5,210 and 532.5 kg), 2. GLNV Nagaraju (VSP), 3. A. Srinivas (Hyd).
