C-DAC offers diploma in software development

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C- DAC) Hyderabad is inviting applications for its entrance test for admission to diploma in system software and development course of 22 weeks' duration. Entry qualification is an engineering degree in electronics/ computer science/ information technology/ MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science. All applicants should possess sound knowledge in basic electronics, computer fundamentals, microprocessors, computer architecture, `C' programming language, data structures, operating systems and computer networks. Selection is based on entrance test, technical and personal interview. Download application form and other details from the website www.cdac.in. and apply with a DD of Rs. 300 drawn in any nationalised bank in favour of C-DAC payable at Hyderabad to the following address: Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, 2nd Floor, Delta Chambers, Ameerpet, Hyderabad.

Details can be had on phone 23401331/2. Last date for submitting applications is August 9. Entrance test will be conducted on August 13. Personal interview will be held on September 4. The course will commence on September 25.

NIMHANS test

The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Deemed University), Bangalore is inviting applications for its entrance test to be conducted on August 29 for admission into the B.Sc. radiography course.

Number of seats is 10 and duration of the course is three years. Entry qualification is Plus II pass with physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics as optional subjects. Those who have passed equivalent examination from any recognised State board will also be considered. Applicants should have completed 17 years as on September 1, 2006 and should not have completed 25 years.

Application form and other details can be downloaded from the website www.nimhans.kar.nic.in. Completed applications along with a demand draft for Rs.250 (SC/ST require only Rs.200) drawn in favour of Director, NIMHANS towards application fee should be sent to the institute. Last date for receipt applications is July 15.

Selection list will be published on August 30. Course will commence on September 1.

IGNOU programme

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for its entrance test for admission into the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme.

Duration is two years. Media of instruction are English and Hindi. Entry qualification is bachelor's or higher degree from a recognised university and two years' full-time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis in a primary, secondary/higher/ senior school recognised by the Central or State Government.

The entrance test will be held on August 20.

The application form and other details can be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in.

Last date for receipt of applications is July 15.
