Federer's blazer still a hot topic

Wimbledon: The cream-coloured blazer, which Roger Federer has been wearing at Wimbledon has provided some fodder for the Bryan brothers on their website.

Mike Bryan, one-half of the No.1-ranked doubles team, wrote on bobandmike.com that Federer is the only guy who could get away with it.

``Now, not too many players would be given a free pass by the guys in the locker room to wear a sports coat out to play a match,'' Bryan said.

``But when it comes to Roger, he can pretty much do what he wants because, 1) he's Roger and 2) he is such a humble champion and friendly guy nobody thinks he has a big head just because he's wearing a jacket.''

Bryan gave a few inside-the-locker room details.

``First, he never takes it out of his locker except for when he's about to go out to play and he doesn't even put it on in the locker room,'' Bryan said. ``I suspect someone has it dry cleaned for him after each match because it's always hanging in a type of brown suit cover.''

Mauresmo still No.1

New Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo will start her 22nd week as the No.1-ranked player in the world on Monday. Justine Henin-Hardenne, who lost to Mauresmo in the final, will stay at No.3, behind Kim Clijsters. — AP
