KOLLAM: The former Electricity Minister Kadavoor Sivadasan has said that the probe ordered by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government into the purchase of electronic meters was politically motivated. He told mediapersons here on Sunday that the Government was trying to target him for the stand taken by him against CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC-Lavalin case. He said the installation of electronic meters was aimed at bringing profits to the KSEB. He also alleged that the inquiry could also be "a ruse to cover up the all-round failure of the LDF Government so that the attention of the people gets diverted."
