CHENNAI: The Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Tamil Nadu celebrated the birthday of its founder, Suraj Prakash, on Sunday. Govindh K. Bharathan, president of the Kerala & Lakshadweep pranth, and member, board of trustees, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, urged the audience to tell all their Hindu friends about the good work the organisation was doing. Upholding the oneness of Indian culture and spreading awareness about the unique Indian Hindu ethos was important, he said. Suraj Prakash founded the Bharat Vikas Parishad around 40 years ago. The organisation has around 1,500 centres in various states and has several overseas centres as well. Three physically challenged people were given artificial limbs at the event on Sunday. Rajendra Sarma, chairman, Tamil Nadu, and P.M. Gopalakrishnan, zonal chairman, participated.
