CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Kerala, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana and Rayalaseema.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Kadra (Uttara Kannada dt) 6, Belthanagadi (Dakshina Kannada dt), Gerusioppa and Nilgund (both Uttara Kannada dt) 5 each, Karkala (Udupi dt) 4, Ulundurpet (Villupuram dt), Minicoy, Mudibidre (Dakshina Kannada dt) and Linganamakki (Shimoga dt) 3 each, Valparai, Shirali, Bhantwal and Puttur (both Dakshina Kannada dt), Bhatkal (Uttara Kannada dt), Londa (Belgaum), Hosanagara and Thirthahalli (both Shimoga dt), Kammardi and Koppa (both Chikmagalur dt) 2 each and Naduvattam (Nilgiris dt, Kochi Airport, Kozhikode, Karwar, Udupi, Kundapura (Udupi dt), Sirsi and Yellapura (both Uttara Kannada dt), Belgaum, Sagar and Talaguppa (both Shimoga dt), Sringeri, Kalasa, Narsirajpura and Lakkavalli (all Chikamagalur dt), Ballupet and Sakleshpura (both Hassan dt) and Honavar 1 each.
