VIJAYAWADA: The news from the India meteorological department is not encouraging for the denizens of coastal Andhra as the hot and humid weather is likely to continue for a few more days. According to Director of IMD in Hyderabad Satya Kumar, the monsoon trough has moved towards the northern side of the country, paving the way for a good spell of rainfall in the northern States. "Due to this shift, a majority of the southern side of the country is experiencing a dry spell. The wind flow from the western side is also a factor for the hot and humid weather and there is no setting of sea breeze in coastal Andhra. The clouds will remain clear for a couple of days more and the days will remain dry," he says. Dr. Kumar said on Monday that the temperature would not be as hot as in summer, but the much-awaited rainfall might elude the areas for a while.
