clarifies on his age
Dr. Reddy himself clarified this at a press conference here on Monday when reporters offered him `best wishes on his 58th birthday'. Dr. Reddy said he turned 57. Responding to a query why he had gone to Goa on his birthday, he said, "To avoid celebrations. Had I been here, it would have been a problem to me and others as well." According to police sources, S.Upender (23), K.Veerababu (23) and K.Prithvi (19), all students, sustained serious injuries when a coal-laden lorry hit their autorickshaw. While Upender died on the spot, Veerababu succumbed to injuries while being shifted to a hospital in Khammam. Inspector Prabhakar said that he had information that Prithvi also died at a hospital in Khammam. The students were on their way to Kodad from Chilukur to get their bus passes. - Staff Reporter
