CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to enhance by almost three times the unemployment allowance for the educated persons with not less than 70 per cent physical disability, the Commissioner for Disability, Baldev Karora, said here on Monday. Those who have studied up to middle level would get monthly unemployment allowance of Rs.1,000 instead of Rs.400, matriculates would get Rs.1,500 instead of Rs.500 and those having higher educational qualification or diploma would be given Rs. 2,000 per month instead of Rs.600. Talking to media persons, Dr.Karora said the revised rates would be effective from April 1, 2006.
