"Open Jaisalmer, Barmer for Pakistani visitors"

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Former Congress Member of Parliament Sona Ram Choudhary from Rajasthan on Monday suggested that the Government consider providing access to visitors from Pakistan to travel to border areas of Jaisalmer and Barmer instead of restricting their movement to Jodhpur areas. Col (Retd) Choudhary, who represented Barmer constituency, said he had met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and requested her to put in a word.

He argued that many people who have relatives in the border areas are not able to travel to those parts on account of restrictions.
