Workshop on English

The Centre for English Language Training (CELT) of Osmania University will organise a one-day workshop on pronunciation skills and accent neutralisation on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop entails topics like phonetics, voice modulation etc. For details contact CELT office on 2709 6166, 2707 0822 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Details are also available on Osmania University website.

Books donated

Family members of late R.J. Rajendra Prasad, former Chief of Bureau, The Hindu, on Monday donated to the library of AP Press Academy, his book collection to mark his 69th birth anniversary. Academy chairman D. Amar lauded the veteran journalist's efforts in establishing the organisation, as member of its Governing Council twice.

UGC refresher

course for lecturers

The UGC Academic Staff College in Osmania University is conducting a refresher course in Environmental Studies from July 20 to August 10 for college lecturers. Lecturers in all subjects are eligible for participation. Temporary / contract teachers who have been teaching for at least two academic sessions can also participate. Self-employment courses

Literacy House of Andhra Mahila Sabha, will be organising self-employment courses for housewives in embroidery, fabric and glass painting, tailoring, drawing, computers and spoken English from July 17 to September 16 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Literacy House, Osmania University.
